The existing home had wonderful front views of the Santa Catalina Mountains.  Unfortunately, you couldn’t see them.  Also, the interior was broken into many interior spaces with no connection to each other, let alone the beautiful exterior.  Therefore, the main design driver was to open the space both physically and psychologically.  The new living space opens in all directions and allows the function of the previous clutter to move in a more cohesive manner.  Simple materials of stucco, glass and galvanized steel along with the element of landscaping bring this 30 year old home in sync with its environment.
